MP secures stay of execution for Thatcham sorting office

MP secures stay of execution for Thatcham sorting office

Newbury Member of Parliament, Richard Benyon, today welcomed the commonsense decision by the Post Office to cancel the transfer of RG7 postal code mail to Caversham and to reaffirm their commitment to Thatcham sorting office. Richard received the attached letter form the Royal Mail confirming their decision. Richard said,

"It is good to have a win at last in my dealings with Royal Mail. In recent years have seen the closure of many post offices, the later delivery of mail and the threat to local sorting offices. This is a welcome dose of commonsense and hope it shows a move to amore customer-focussed management style from Royal Mail"
