MP comments on snow storms

Newbury Member of Parliament, Richard Benyon, has paid tribute to Council and Veolia workers who have been doing their best to keep our roads clear in the severe snow storms we have faced.

Richard said:

"Many Council and Veolia employees have worked long, late hours to keep West Berkshire moving. I pay tribute to their efforts in the difficult circumstances they face. I have kept in touch with Council officials who are coordinating efforts to deal with the exceptional snow falls across West Berkshire. The good news is that salt supplies are getting through and we must just hope that these conditions do not last for too long"
