Richard Benyon to host an open surgery at Sainsburys, Newbury

Member of Parliament, Richard Benyon, will be holding an open surgery for constituents at Sainsbury’s supermarket in Newbury, this coming Friday from 10:00 – 12:00.

Richard said: “Open surgeries are a great way for people who have an issue, or an opinion on a particular topic, to voice it without having to pick up the ‘phone, type an e-mail, or book for a more formal appointment at my office.”

Richard Benyon MP set to discuss the Gaza crisis with constituents

Member of Parliament, Richard Benyon, will be hosting a public meeting, open to all constituents, this coming Monday at Newbury Town Hall, to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza.
Announcing the meeting, Richard said: “The crisis unfolding between the Israelis and the Palestinians is utterly deplorable and one which my constituents and the nation care deeply about.”

Richard Benyon has welcomed the news that SSE’s Warm Home Discount scheme is now open for applications from those on low incomes, and vulnerable customers, to receive assistance with their winter fuel bill, including credit towards winter fuel bills, debt relief, free energy efficient appliances and benefit entitlement checks.

Richard Benyon MP 'encouraged' following meeting with Transport Secretary

Following a meeting with the Secretary of State for Transport, Patrick McLoughlin, to discuss the electrification of the Great Western Main Line beyond Newbury to Hungerford and Bedwyn, both Newbury MP Richard Benyon, and Deviizes MP, Claire Perry, were encouraged that the Secretary of State would consider their argument going forward.
