Following a five month campaign across 21 parliamentary constituencies Anthony Stansfeld was elected as your Police & Crime Commissioner. As the Police & Crime Commissioner Anthony will set the priorities for the Police in the Thames Valley as well as setting the annual budget and police share of council tax.
Anthony Stansfeld has been nominated as the Conservative candidate for the Thames Valley Police Commissioner. He was born in Newbury and W Berks has been his home all his life. His parents in law live in N Bucks. He is currently an executive member of West Berks Council, and is on the Thames Valley Police Authority.
In the 2010 General Election Manifesto the Conservative Party pledged to make “the police accountable to a directly-elected individual who will set policing priorities for local communities”. This pledge will be fulfilled on Thursday 15th November when the country goes to the polls to elect the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for their area.
